"When Volition I Encounter You Again" is a song released in 1974 past American soul grouping The Three Degrees, from their 3rd album The Three Degrees. The song was written and produced by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Sheila Ferguson sang the atomic number 82, accompanied past Fayette Pinkney and Valerie Holiday. Sheila Ferguson recalled that "the song was played to me past Kenny Gamble at the piano in 1973 and I threw a tantrum. I screamed and yelled and said I would never sing it. It was i of the most successful recordings of the "Philly Soul" era. In the U.S., "When Will I See You lot Over again" peaked at #two on the pop singles chart, behind "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas.[4]

On other US charts, the song reached #i on the adult gimmicky nautical chart,[v] and #4 on the R&B chart in the fall of 1974.[6] In the Great britain, information technology fared even better, spending two weeks at the summit of the UK Singles Nautical chart in August 1974.[7]
